superb temperature stability and uniformity, you will need to cover the top for long runs @ 24+ hrs)

I use a Coleman excursion cooler never feels warm on the outside. Cut a corner out of the lid. Unscrewed lid. Fill gap between lid and cutout with aluminum foil.

I use a Coleman cooler as well but I just use a cutout from a high density camp sleeping pad that sits directly on top of the water.

Another Coleman user, cut corner out of lid then reattached with small hinge, flip up for Anova, close for normal use.

You can use Ping Pong balls. The air in the balls helps retain the heat, and it also allows you to easily add and remove food.

How hot can you set it inside a coleman Cooler? Or do you put a pot inside the Cooler?

No. You can just leave the lid open and put foil on top. We are talking the cheap cooler not the real big one. Excursion cooler. An it is a great size and under $20. It works great with both sizes of Anova heaters

I have 2 of them. The second one I did not cut the lid. Not worth it foil works best. An when meal is done and I have to sear the meat I use the foil to tent the meat. I sear in a cast iron pan. Then cover with the foil.
