Pairing the Anova Precision Oven with Mobile App

I have a QR code on my oven - how do I connect to WiFi?

1. Download the Anova Oven app on your mobile device. If you already have the app, make sure it is the latest version.
2. Log in with an existing user account, or create a new one.
3. Tap the More tab and then Connect My Oven.
   1. If there is no Connect My Oven option, make sure you Disconnect any oven that was previously connected to the account first.
4. Tap the Precision Oven 2.0 option.
   1. If you see a camera viewfinder, point it at the QR code on the Oven.
   2. If instead you see a screen that says “Activate Pairing Mode” with an animation, this means the oven is not broadcasting. (See Activate Pairing Mode below.)
5. After scanning the QR code, the app will prompt you to select your WiFi network and enter credentials.
   1. If you do not see your WiFi network listed, wait for several seconds then try scrolling down. Sometimes it takes a while for the full list to populate.
6. When pairing is completed, the app will display a “Connected!” screen.

My app shows Activate Pairing Mode instead of a scanner for the QR code

If the app shows the Activate Pairing Mode screen, this means the oven is not broadcasting. If there is a QR code on the screen, this may mean that the broadcasting timed out or failed to start. To correct this:

1. Unplug the oven, then plug it back in.
2. Force quit the mobile app so that it is no longer running or in background.
3. Check your permissions on the Anova Oven app to ensure it has both Bluetooth and Camera enabled.
4. Once the oven has completed the boot cycle:
   1. If it prompts you to complete the onboarding steps again, move through those steps until you get to the QR Code.
   2. If the oven screen shows the main controls instead, tap the WiFi icon in the top left corner, then tap the Connect button at the bottom of the WiFi screen. This will bring up the QR Code and start broadcasting.
5. Open the Oven App again on your mobile device.
   1. A pop-up card may appear offering to connect to your oven. In this case, simply click to start the connection process.
   2. If no pop-up appears, then navigate to the More tab and tap Connect My Oven. From there, you can choose the Precision Oven 2.0 option.
6. The app will present a camera viewfinder to scan the QR Code on your oven. Point it at the oven screen and follow the remaining prompts on the mobile app.
