Anova Precision Oven 2.0 FAQ

Can I connect more than one user to the Oven?

Yes, you can connect more than one user (or phone/device) to the Anova Precision Oven 1.0. or Anova Precision Oven 2.0.

To add another user:

1. Open your Anova Oven app.
2. Tap "More" (usually in the bottom right corner).
3. Look for "Manage Users."
4. Have the other phone or device scan the QR code displayed to automatically pair.

This allows multiple household members or even someone in a different location (as long as the oven is connected to Wi-Fi) to control and monitor the oven.

**Note: each user wishing to use app subscription features such as recipes or AI recipe conversions will need a separate subscription.**

How do I clean the tank and lid?

For the Anova Precision Oven 2.0

CLEANING THE WATER TANKS

There are two water tanks. The fresh water tank (upper), and the waste water tank (lower). Both water tanks may be removed by pushing the tank toward the back of the oven until you trigger the click-in/click-out mechanism. The tanks will pop out of the oven case and can slide out freely.

To clean either of the tanks, follow these directions:

1. Remove the water tank by pushing gently on the front.
2. Remove the lid off the water tank.
3. Gently wash the tank and lid with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge with warm water and dish soap.
4. Carefully dry the tank with a microfiber cloth, then slide it back into position on the side of the oven.
5. For the Upper Tank, fill with fresh distilled water and replace the lid on the tank, then re-insert into oven.
6. The lower tank will catch any excess moisture that is not exhausted. It is also used during the descale process. It is recommended to rinse out the lower tank every couple weeks.

**Note: Tanks and lids are not dishwasher safe.**

What is this little piece at the back?

The small tab at the back of the Anova Precision Oven 2.0 serves as a spacer to ensure that the oven is positioned at a safe distance from the wall or any other surface behind it. This spacing is critical for:

  • Proper ventilation: It allows heat and steam to dissipate safely, preventing overheating and protecting both the oven and your kitchen surfaces.
  • Preventing accidental contact: It stops the oven from being pushed too close to the wall, which could block vents or cause heat damage.

Removing the small tab at the back will void your warranty.
