Troubleshooting and diagnosing Camera Issues on Anova Precision Oven 2.0

1. Confirm you have a subscription plan and the oven is connected to your account.
2. Confirm the oven is on the latest firmware (version 11_196_1.2.10_01.01.14 or higher) and that the Anova Oven app version is at least 1.2.3 or higher.
3. Check the Live Video
   1. Open the mobile app and navigate to the Oven tab, then click the Manual Control button.
   2. Start a cook either from the mobile app or the oven interface.
   3. On the mobile app, you should see the cook monitor screen showing that the cook is in progress. Switch to the Live Video tab. You will see an animation while the app initiates the connection to begin receiving live updates.
   4. Within a minute, you should see the live feed of the interior of your oven.

If the mobile app times out without showing live video:

This may indicate an issue with the camera itself or with the wiring connecting to the circuit board.

If the live video appears black or distorted:

   - A fully black screen indicates there is something obstructing the camera
   - If the image is hazy or has condensation or grime obscuring the interior of the oven, this could mean that the glass protecting the camera enclosure is dirty. Try cleaning it with a soft, damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
   - If the image looks like a multi-color QR code or jumble of obviously wrong colors, this may indicate a physical issue with the camera.
4. Check for time lapse video
   1. Put food in the oven and complete a cook.
   2. Wait for a few minutes after the cook has completed, then check My Cooks and tap the History tab. Click on the cook you just completed - it should show a time lapse video.

If the time lapse video never appears:

       - Make sure there is actual food in the oven, and it is recognizable as food. (In other words, opt for food that is not covered and does not blend in with the pan.)
       - The camera enclosure may be obscured by steam or dirt, causing the oven to not recognize when food is present. Try cleaning it with a soft, damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
       - Try resetting the oven by unplugging it for a minute and plugging it back in. Check again with a new cook to see if time lapse video is captured.
