Our cookers only support a 2.4ghz wifi network. Many routers broadcast wifi networks in both 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. This means, before setting up your cooker your tablet/smartphone device must be connected to a 2.4ghz wifi, then connect your cooker to that same 2.4ghz Wifi network during the setup process in the Anova app.
The Wifi Network Name and Password must have NO Special Characters and NO Spaces.
- Ensure there are NO special characters and spaces on your wifi network name and password, before the setup.
Routers Not Supported
- Xfinity XB7
How do I find my 2.4ghz wifi network?
When connecting your smartphone/tablet device and cooker to your wifi network, ensure that you select the SSID (Wifi Name) that indicates it is a 2.4ghz network. This is typically indicated by a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end of the SSID (Wifi Name).
If you have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi networks populating on your smartphone/mobile device when connecting to wifi, connect to the wifi network with a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end.
- Your 2.4ghz wifi network name may have a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end.
- ex: Anova-2.4
- Your 5ghz wifi network name might have a 5 or 5G at the end.
- ex: Anova-5
Note: Some routers may only have one wifi network name used for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz Wifi bands. For more information on how to connect to a 2.4ghz wifi, please refer to your router guide or you may contact your internet provider directly.
