Precision Cooker - Manual IP Configuration Workaround for iOS 26+

OVERVIEW

If you're running iOS 26 or later and the Anova Precision Cooker model:AN500, the app may have difficulty completing the Wi-Fi pairing step in the app. This is a known issue caused by a change in how iOS handles DHCP (automatic IP assignment) when connecting to the Precision Cooker's hotspot network.

The workaround below lets you manually configure the IP address for the Precision Cooker's Wi-Fi network so that pairing can complete successfully.

STEPS

  1. Start the Pairing Flow in the App
    • Open the Anova app and begin the pairing process for your Precision Cooker, the app will prompt you to connect to the cooker's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Network Details
    • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi. Once connecting (or after it appears to hang/fail),   tap the (i) icon next to the Anova network name.
  3. Configure the IP Address Manually
    • Find the "IPv4 Address" header pap "Configure IP", then select "Manual".
    • Enter the following values:
    • IP Address:   10.123.45.100
    • Subnet Mask:  255.255.255.0
    • Router:       10.123.45.1
    • Tap "Save" in the top-right corner.
  1. Return to the Anova App
  2. Switch back to the Anova app and continue the pairing process. It should now complete successfully.
